    Have just been to a private party at Abaca, and I was surprised at how good it was! We had the pretty good selection of their menu items: - cucumber salad - thin cut pork - lola's lumpia - black angus hanger steak - smoked pork belly with stonefruit salsa - chilled broccollini - java rice - housemade squid ink rice noodles with squid - cassava cake - chcocolate mousse And everything tasted great! So that takes care of 1st base. What pushed it over the top was the thinking and the deliberateness in every single item in your bowl -- - high quality produce, - playful combinations, eg cucumbers with nectarines, tomatoes and peaches, - contrasting taste and textures, ie crispy calamari tentacles with melt-in-your-mouth squid body, lemon base to a bittersweet chocolate mousse - interesting play in native ingredients, particularly that coconut cream with the charred broccollini...when you put them all together, it's a light textured ginataang gulay your lola would make! And there's the attentiveness of the staff. I just wished they were more knowledgeable about the menu items, but that's just a small nit. Now I get why this resto is winning awards. Kudos! We hope to get back there again!

    Abacá continues to set the bar high with its exceptional guest service and outstanding food offerings. My recent visit was no exception, and it was made even more special thanks to Aler and the incredible team. Aler did an amazing job balancing his attention to each table, ensuring everyone felt well taken care of. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his ability to suggest dishes that perfectly matched our tastes made the dining experience even better. To top it all off, he surprised me with a complimentary dessert to celebrate my special day, which made the evening truly memorable. The ambiance at Abacá is perfect for groups, couples, and families, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for any occasion. The food is consistently above and beyond expectations, deliciously prepared, and beautifully presented. A heartfelt thank you to Aler and the entire team for making our experience at Abacá extra special. Highly recommended for a delightful and unforgettable dining experience.

    Everything was delicious and flavorful. I loved the lumpia especially. Super friendly service. Atmosphere was relaxed. My only request would be for some more vegetables, but all in all, we're excited to come back. We loved that they open early.
